I have these wheels (2011) and in the past 12 months I've been through 3 sets of front and rear bearings and a free hub. Contact Jake at 2pure. Lovely looking wheels but would never buy them again. Good luck

Is it definitely the hub, not the cassette (or a new chain on an old cassette)?

If you've got the old version of the freehub there's a known problem with them. Contact 2pure or the place you got them from and they'll sort you out with a replacement.

Saying that, contact them even if they're the newer and you've got an obvious fault. The hubs may be made of swiss cheese, but they are nice bling wheels, and strong rims, and CB do have pretty good warranty.

Did have my hub warranty replaced but that was the aluminium lockring thread stripping off mid ride (possibly due to dodgy fit of SRAM 10 speed cassettes). New one is fine but I use a Shimano XT cassette now, and it has ali spider and lockring which may work better with the ali freehub. Bearings are sealed and don't have issues with them, just pull it apart now and again, give it a good clean and a thin grease on the pawls and it runs fine.

Stick with it and get it sorted through warranty if you can. They are really good at dealing with it.

Many seem to have to use their warranty which isn't so good, but after getting sorted they seem to be fine after that. And they do look nice 😀
