so, i have a carbon hardtail frame that takes a 31.6 post, and a beloved 27.2 thomson.... would you shim it?? a proper collared aluminium shim, or just buy a new post?

i need to poke my hose through said carbon frame.. to do this i need to disconnect the hose from the lever (formula t1) so new pin and olive time?

any other olives work?

do i need a special tool to clamp the olive tight?

is it easier to remove the banjo from the other end and slide it down that way?

any other advise on doing this?

Shim no problem.

Probably best to get new olive and insert as you may have to remove the compression fitting to get the hose through the frame.

Don't know which alternatives work tho.
