I had a bot or something win a router I was selling, eBay cancelled everything saying it seemed fraudulent. Why don't I get a chance to offer it to the second highest bidder?

Im also selling a road bike on there and I've been made an offer the ebayer seems normal except their location says US and it's collection only in the UK. Any way of messaging the potential buyer? I don't want to accept the offer and be left with eBays fees if the person can't collect.

Thanks, eBay appears to be becoming more of a hassle then a useful selling platform. Still better than the gumtree chancers.

You usually do get chance to offer to second highest bidder, are you using the app, the desktop version will likely have the option available..

reject the offer or make a counter offer with a message, clearly state you are a U.K. seller

Yeah I'm on the app, that's a good idea for the second part.

An eBay scam is to pay for a buyer collect item via PayPal and then say you’ll send a courier, courier picks it up and then buyer says they never received it. You lose the cash as you can’t prove it got delivered and they get your stuff.

I only sell stuff cash on collection after having to reject too many bids from people too far away to collect in person.
