Why, you got some?

TJ and Shredder - despite numerous offers of full refunds, he keeps refusing. I've given up. He's had more then enough opportunities to do the right thing - if he really wanted a refund, he would've had one by now.

Here we go again. £10 doesn't count as a refund, George so don't make out like you're the one hard done by. FFS.

A full refund is a full refund. That's what I offered you several times. You refused. Don't act otherwise. I'm not acting hard done by, I'm acting like someone who has tried and tried to do the right thing, and in return has been insulted, threatened, stalked, had their friends stalked, their club stalked and insulted, random people they don't even know stalked, slandered, and treated like scum. Unless you'd call that hard done by.

Whoa chill son just asking

shredder, TJ, certainly not standing up and defending anyone or anything, but constant public calls for someone to "do the right thing" is as annoying, if not more so, than the possible thought that someone has been "done" by a regular forum member. This "burn the witch" attitude needs taking elsewhere IMO. The contract for goods/cash has been between two adults, they can sort it out satisfactorily between themselves, and if they can't, then they certainly don't need you lot chiming in!

Anyway, carry on... I'm sure you will!

😕

I honestly don't know what world you live in. If anyone wants the full email thread between Goerge & myself, feel free to mail me so you can make your own mind up.

For the record - NEVER has a full refund been offered. And as for stalked, slandered, and treated like scum. - speechless.

A full refund with no strings attached you mean? Not asking for a public apology at all?
I'm literally, just asking. Because, whilst, I dont think everyone in your life being stalked (and I don't know what's gone on there or approve of anything like that) you're actions are what led to all of this crap going on. And all your posts on here ending up going the same way.
Do you honestly think all the folk that aren't happy about this are wrong?

Why, you want some
just comes over aggressive..

'do you have some? I would be interested if you have?' would have been an appropriate reply...geez they let anyone into uni now-a-days.

FWIW no i havent

PS continuing the annoying thread, what tyres do i need for a wednesday?

What is the point in flogging a dead horse? You've wrecked my reputation already - I can hardly buy a used pair of grips on here. I made you loads of offers of a full refund, with a single condition, that you had to properly apologize for what you'd done. This was apparently beyond you. And now you want to lie about it - for what? Are you not satisfied with the damage you've done already? What more do you hope to achieve?

What an odd thing to say, if you dont know them how do you know they were stalked??

Because he admitted to it on another thread. Was "looking into" some dude I didn't know from Adam.

'do you have some? I would be interested if you have?' would have been an appropriate reply...

Sorry about that. Didn't really put that much effort into it.

Real Man-

Please ignore all these jeb ends. I'm completely on your side, once this lot of morons gets something trivial between their teeth they won't let go, especially if they only have a quarter of the facts

I hope you never have to give the guy a refund after the way he and the rest of them have acted.

that you had to properly apologize for what you'd done.

So Jimmy gets gets sold some crap brakes / ripped off and you want HIM to apologise? Seriously.

No, you offered me a mediocre refund for a full apology and I declined on the that basis. It is not beyond me to apologise and request within my powers for everything on the matter to be removed from the forum. Everyone here knows that if you YOU did the right thing, this whole thing would be forgotten. You forget you're the one with a pocket full of cash and I have dodgy brakes - full apology and refund results in you reputation restored. But then, I told you this from day one, before I even put the original feedback on STW.

Jimmy's email is on his profile - why not send him the cash via PP and be done?

That a joke? You want me to pay him for what he's done?

I think a lot of people don't actually realise what's been going on. I've been told I'm going to end up in violent situations if I go to certain MTB events. I met a guy in the woods the other day on a ride, and we were chatting. He asked for my name, and I actually hesitated. It's been ridiculous.

munrobiker, I appriciate that loads, but you don't have to do that for me, I don't want any more people get flamed. Thank you so much though.

Realboy sells shite brakes.
Realboy offers a tenner for silence.
Realboy ignors the general calls for a refund.
Realboy offers a refund if the victim offers an apoligy.
Realboy needs to man up, pay up or **** off.

OK fine just one tiny thing that's been annoying me.

Realboy offers a teenner for silence.

The brakes were sold for £150 - he then came back to me and said he thought they were only worth £135. I offered a £15 partial refund. He didn't respond, he just trashed me on STW. I then offered a full refund on the condition he apologized and took back what he said. How hard can that be? Yes, the brakes were scratched, but they still worked fine. It was a mistake on my part, I didn't realise they were scratched.

Munrobiker hasn't ripped anyone off, hes just expressing his opinion..you, on the other hand, have.
So not a no strings attached refund then?? Were you at GT the other day keeping a carpark space for a friend?
Btw, you're not "paying" him for anything, you're refunding him for goods you sold him that did not match the description you gave for them in the first place.

Despite all the other stuff that has apparently gone on do you honestly (honestly?) not see that it was you who should be doing something to make this better?
If it was you who had bought the brakes would you not be pissed??

If that's the truth I don't see how Jimmy can complain. I'd stay out of this guys, Jimmy shouldn't have brought this issue onto a public forum and defamed the bloke over something so trivial as this.

Refunding someone because you've sold goods that aren't as described isn't conditional on anything they do.

Realman has let his pride obscure his responsibilities. Sure sign of emotional immaturity IMO.

Actually I'm with RealMan, if this thread was made before it was dealt with privately and Jimmy spouted on the forum before other avenues for conflict resolution could be explored then I'd tell Jimmy to go **** himself.

That's the issue RealMan was getting at and IF the sequence of events is true then sorry I'm siding with him.

That's all I will say. RealMan, I suggest you join another forum mate.

so realman offered brakes with a stock photo, Jimmy did not have the sense to ask for actual photos before parting with (quite probably) a paypal gift (to save a few quid)?

I know whose side i am erring on.

Still think offering a full refund on the condition of an apology is both immature and fudish.
Yep munrobiker, folk on here are pretty upset about it. With good reason.. There's always been an implied level of trust on the classifieds, but yes, folk are starting to abuse that. But the majority of people seem to believe and try to adhere to that concept so it's understandable in the circumstances that they would wish to do something about that. And by that, I mean on here- anything stupid that happens in the real world is a different matter though.
I'm sure if crc or some other big retailer sold you an xt rear mech, but you got an slx mech in the post.. Would you not be pissed about it? Ok, fair enough have thought about it- what if they sent you a damaged but working xt rear mech??

agree totally BUT if you are to part with £150 surely you would have some sense and ask for pictures to clarify that your opinion and the sellers is the same???
As a seller i would not let someone buy without sending some pictures for an item of £20+ just to make sure that they were not upset with my description.

The original description:

Nice and bling, carbon levers etc. Think they're flippable so you can run them UK or euro style without having to do anything to the hoses. Pad contact adjustment, reach adjustment, banjo adjustment, all work perfectly. Used, but very very good condition, don't think they have any marks or real signs of wear on them anywhere. Also got spare pads, and maybe rotors. Bled and working perfectly.

Be a real man and own up you are in the wrong.

Wow there's some idiots on here - wonder if they are just trying to be contrary for the sake of it or if they are actually supportive of ripping people off generally.

I've bought stuff off here without seeing pics and never had a problem BTW - remind me never to buy anything off 'munrobiker'.

Making someone apologise or even whether they've slagged you off on a forum should have no bearing on whether you do the right thing or not.

Re-read the above.. Jimmy has offered all correspondence to anyone that asks, Realman, has not. But I see the point you are making.
That aside, the items were not as described, I'd have asked for a full refund straight away. Probably.
