[Closed] Could I use an old brake lever to operate a reverb dropper?

Never used a reverb before but assume the remote (that I don't have) displaces some fluid which disengages the locking mech and hey presto.

Rather than spend £60+ on just a remote could I use a brake lever?

Abuse related to my innocent naivety welcome!

Failing that, does anyone have an old remote?

Thanks

Maybe, but where would you put it?

Under the bars where my front shifter would have gone...you think it might work?

As your hurtle into that first big turn and grab the brakes to scrub off a little speed and your saddle hits you up the arse 😆

Are the internal diameters of a Reverb hose and brake hose the same?

There are remotes on pinkbike for £20 all the time. Just buy one of those!

I guess you could trim the brake lever a bit.

I've got a bust one in my spares box you can have. The lever snapped off it but it might be a suitable basis for a frankenstein bodge.

If you want it email me - in profile and I'll post it to you if you drop some postage pennies into the next charity box you see.

I've got a rh on top of the bars you can have for 20, bit scratched on the lever but works
