got a large rocket in used nick with a cane creek shock that won't hold air, a rear brake that needs bleeding, a rear rim that needs replacing, helms with nicks on the stanchions. Basically it's been ridden!!
New drive train though.
Cost £4200, no idea on Worth

Fix what needs fixing, otherwise it's a "fire sale".

Which generation/age?

Based on what I can see on pinkbike and ebay at the moment, about £4200.

Lack of supply and too much demand equals crazy pricing.

If its not a long shot version I feel like thats gonna hit its value a bit. £800 maybe a little generous the bikes basically gonna cost someone a grand once they factor in the bits that need replacing.

So the first 650b version ( https://www.cotic.co.uk/product/rocket275)? That is still a great frame. What's the full spec?

Edit: £800 sounds low to me.

I'm currently selling a 2018 Orange Stage 6 on Ebay. Similar original cost to your Cotic, ridden but maintained to a good working condition throughout. I started the asking price at 2700gbp and have reduced it weekly to 2250gbp. I am now starting to get some interest with people offering around 2k.

I had considered selling mine, its 2017 with freshly serviced pikes and cane creek dbair, slx/xt groupset, hope v4 brakes, hope pro 4 and dt swiss wheels and all running really well. I've not had too much interest at 2k (optimistic pricing but not in a rush to sell).
Take from that what you will!

If you get it to being rideable, maybe try your luck at £2k - though if the forks are shagged then that's £500 off straight away. You might be lucky to get £1600 even if the forks are ok. I got mine in better nick but lower spec for £1700, but that was a few years back before prices went through the roof. Probably not worth splitting in your case if a lot of the parts are well used.

@Andybrad sorry you missed the year up there (2018), the description that is honest about condition. The irony to your typo of "unreadable" 🙂

@mowgli the fork has 3 small nicks on the right stanchion, on closer inspection not "shagged"

Yeh, but going by my experience from selling stuff that means game over for a lot of people. People buying second hand basically want something thats brand new at a fraction of a cost. Also given the year if its not boost that will take a bit off the sale price too.

As the old saying goes its worth what someone is prepared to pay, search the completed items on ebay for similar and then price accordingly, if no bites after a week you know its way over priced keep dropping the price until it sells.

Always works if your realistic some people just think stuff is worth more and hold out I would rather shift something and move on.
