got a chip on the soul, contacted Cotic who pointed me in the direction of modelling paint. Anyone found a good match for the mercury colour?

Did they not give you a colour code too? They told me the tamiya colour to match my black grape cotic this week.

No, I got some silver and it’s nowhere near a match.

When I asked for my solaris they gave me the exact paint code to get from the model shop, Matches well considering the frame is a few years old so will have faded a bit

Asked for the Pantone colour of the top tube decal on the Mercury/Orange Soul and Paul emailed me with the code. Drop them an email, I'm sure they'll get back to you quickly.

Mercury will be a tough one to match I'm afraid.

I'll have a think, and ask around the team.

I emailed them and they replied saying they didn’t have any touch up paint andto try model paint. No codes, I fear kelvins right and it will be a pain to match.

Get all Kintsugi on it. Pick a really contrasting colour of enamel model paint, and make a feature of the damage.

I can't believe you took one of those lovely mercury frames out and scratched it. Should have been kept in the shed for looking at.

Yes, no colour code I'm afraid.

Problem is that it is not a traditional "metallic" or even "pearlescent" silver… it uses a paint process that attempts to match polished, or chromed, metal.

Patch up with something close to potect the metal if you want, but it won't be an invisible fix. Sorry.

You can fix much more serious problems than a paint chip with those! Broken chain stay?
