I've got a pair of 2017 Mavic Cosmic Carbon exalith wheels. I noticed the carbon is becoming detached from the rim in a few places and needs to be stuck back on.

I spoke to Mavic and they don't repair it and can't offer advice on the adhesive I'd need to use. They confirmed there's no issue with the structural rigidity of the wheel though, the carbon is purely for aero.

Any tips?

Thanks

Is it outside of warranty for those wheels?

I would speak to the retailer next and see if they will pursue it under warranty or goodwill.

They were second hand/unused off ebay so no warranty. sounds like epoxy the best option. I will look into flexible variants.

Thanks.

Epoxy all the way. Am I alone in thinking this is a bit poor for a 3 year old wheel that probably retailed at around £1k?

I've got the same wheels and the same issue. Wheels were a few months out of warranty so Mavic weren't interesteed. As I've found with most Mavic products things just don't last.

Tried Araldite but the high temps from braking meant they came unstuck again.

In the end I bought this oven glue which is made to withstand high temps and it has worked a treat

Check out some of the Zapp brand superglues. I've held together some heavily stressed high speed model planes with it for repairs at the slope.
