Coros Dura issues

Anyone got experience of the Coros Dura? I've had one for about 3 months. Used it on a week long bikepacking trip over the summer and it was great. Had the whole route downloaded to it and it just worked. Nice simple interface, bit chirpy but bearable.

However I had noted the livetrack was dropping out as my wife kept texting me to say 'have you stopped'. When I got back I wanted to upload some new routes and the app told me i needed to update the firmware. Wouldn't work. It just would not connect. I contacted Coros and they gave some advice (basically a very detailed turn off then Back on again). This didn't work so they sent me a new unit, very quickly. Cannot fault them on customer service.

The isue is the next unit is the same. Will not hook up to WiFi. I have reloaded the app, used a different phone etc etc. Finally I have it working through Bluetooth but I have to unpair and then repair for every route download. It only allows one download before it stops working!

Contacted Coros again and they've offered to send me a 3rd unit. Again I can't fault them on their service.

Has anyone else had similar issues? Am I doing something wrong here?

Bumpity bump! Watching with interest as considering one when my secondhand Garmin dies.

I have one. Mostly it just works - although the app is a little clunky. I've not had the problems you have, although I've just this minute updated the firmware so hopefully that won't trigger the issue for me. I've not really used the live tracking.

Where were you uploading routes from? Direct from something like komoot, or a gpx file?

Just a thought, but could it be your phone that is the problem? Wouldn't explain the WiFi issue but could explain the live track dropping out maybe? Do you have access to a different phone you could try it on?

I've uploaded tracks from OSmaps and from Komoot as i wondered if that was issue. It wasn't.

I've run the app on two different phones. Same results.

I've had one for 18 months now. None of those issues, in fact no issues at all. Haven't tried live tracking though....

I'm running the app on an android phone. Are those with no issues on android or apple?

Android for me, too. Plus I've used komoot and uploaded GPX files from OS maps, so pretty similar to you.

The one thing I don't like is the exclusive use of a phone app and no PC app/web app like Garmin connect.

Another thought... Is "Foreground Service Notifications" switched on in the app, under user->settings?

Agree. Being limited to the phone app is not great. Just checked foreground is on.
