I have been happy using my cheap gas stove and stainless pots for years but want to go smaller and lighter now.
Thinking of a Trangia Triangle and meths burner with ti pots.

What are you using?
Your suggestions?

I have not done any short trips for nearly 2 years because I'm a bad person however the last few I did I used a "penny stove" set up with a some thin aluminium for a wind break and some coat hanger wire bent into a pot stand. Never had a problem with it. Light and cheap.

Know what kind of food you're wanting to cook before deciding - it's hard to do much more than boil water when using most meths burners and ti cookware. That might not be a problem if you're going with a lightweight/rehydrating approach to your food.

I use a small gas stove. Newer versions are very efficient, especially when paired with some sort if heat exchanger on the pan. Thus means they use very little fuel, so they can actually work out "lighter" overall.
