Half-decent flask does me (still mourning the loss of my favourite most heat-retaining flask ever).

Minimalism is where it's at. 🙂

Theres pocket rocket clones about for around half the price, or if you like spending money theres the optimus crux. On a day ride i'll generally use a small flask or drink water.

Primus Spider Express - amazing stove. Had one for a year now and it's super fast, very economical on gas too so you only need small cartridge.

I got mine for about £35. Bargain performance for that price

They are remarkably good, bit of a techique to getting them going but thereafter very quick to boil. Bit bulky for a bike I would have thought compared to the MSR and a metal cup.

Pocket Rocket + any reasonable size ti mug + C100 100g gas canister.
All fits in the mug, just add water.
I can get my brew on in less than five minutes.
Tastes good and if I take some noodles I get hot food instead of a squashed sandwich.

I also have a Jetboil, really good bit of kit, boils water so fast, but a bit big for the 'small and light' requirement?

under 300gms for the Kovea and a C100 cartridge 8)

Psychle.
Have you used the stove much? Does it seem made to last?

Trying a bit hard if you take a stove for a day ride. Technology has brought us containers that retain heat rather than having to carry fire with us.

msr pocket rocket.
all the old boys from the R.S.F use em to make a brew when out.
tea tastes better when brewed up outdoors.

too much hassle for me, i prefer a small thermos.
