as per title, changing my XT 2x10 (M785)crankset to a 1x11 using a hope (or similar) narrow wide chain ring. do i need different length chain ring bolts or can i just use the bolts from the 'big' ring on there at the moment?

if the bolts are only holding one one ring, unlike a triple, then the same bolts should be fine. Some of the smaller rings are threaded so you don't need to use the nut part.
