Hi, can someone please tell me if a 12 speed SRAM cassette will fit onto my 2015 Specialized epic expert that has 2x10 drive train? The current cassette is SRAM if that helps. Cheers

Someone more knowledgeable will be along in a sec about 2015 Epics. But if in doubt - post up a pic of your freehub.

Broadly speaking -there are 2 type of 12 speed SRAM cassettes. The more expensive GX and above require a dedicated wheel with a 'XD' freehub. Typically they have teeth staring at 10.

The other option is the cheaper NX type level cassettes - they should fit the far more common freehubs out there (typically refered to as Shimano) - especially on older bikes. They have teeth starting at 11.

There is also the option of Sunrace cassettes that fit 'older' freehubs and work really well. Also from 11 teeth.

I suspect you will need to go with NX / Sunrace.

Thanks for your reply, yeah I wanted to fit gx ideally,I’m aware of the sunrace but understand it’s a bit more weighty than SRAM and trying to keep weight down as much as my budget will allow as I’m getting into XC racing, maybe go for sunrace and just get a bit fitter lol.

What's your biggest gear on the cassette at the moment - 10 or 11?
