Im toying with the idea of converting my old road frame to a disc version.

The frame is knackered - old PX Rt57 carbon- it's travelled the world with me in a box, but with 2 holes in the chainstays (chainsuck damage), a damaged rear dropout, and worn out rims it's time for a change.

The bike will be ridden on long rides all over the world again, so I'm considering something with discs and bigger tyre clearance. I have a set of tubeless 29er wheels, my old SRAM Rival groupset, and I'm considering a Ti Pickenflick frame.
Will 28/32mm tyres work ok tubeless on 29er rims?

If its standard road wheels then they are 130mm across - disk wheels are 135mm so you could be in trouble from the start.

Then presumably you're thinking off gluing a disk mount onto the chain stay?

If its like my old PX carbon frame then 32mm tyres will be a squeeze too.

Too much fafffage for my liking. Just buy a new frame designed for disks.

Sorry - not sure I was clear. Getting a new frame, have 29er wheels. Will they fit a cross-frame?

I'm thinking:

New Ti disc cross frame
29er tubeless wheel set
Old SRAM rival group set
TRP Hy-Rd brakes.
