Hi,
Currently running a 2x9 with a double and bash - I will move to XT M8000 but would like to keep the SLX crank, because no need to upgrade
What front ring should I replace it with, are there any chain-line issues to consider? Would anymore recommend the new Sun race cassette instead of the Shimano one - looks a bit friendlier on the freehub body to me?

S'all too wide so you need to move the ring in. Absolute Black & Works Components c'rings have 2mm of spacing built in.
