I've had a Cannodale Prophet since new in 2006 and have changed parts over the years. I've always kept the Lefty on it and now I'm thinking of converting the wheels to 650B

Has anybody on here done it or knows someone who has?

Did you/they have any rear tyre clearance issues at full travel with the seat tube. Do you/they run the rear shock in the XC or FR setting? Do you/they have to use smaller volume/width rear tires?

Front mech problems?

What about just converting the front to 650b?

Any thoughts would

As per that thread linked to, it's possible but only in the XC setting on the frame, personally I preferred the prophet in the FR setting so wasn't interested myself. Reading threads on it (on MTBR) and no mention was made about issues with the front mech and can't remember anything about tyre clearance issue (other than not using FR mode).
You may need to pop a travel reducer into the lefty too, to stop the wheel potentially hitting the lower lefty clamp. To convert a Lefty max for a 29er you need to reduce the travel to 110mm (just by fitting a spacer - nothing desperately complicated), so you be somewhere between 110-140mm travel up front. It's less of an issue as the 650B isn't that big an increase in wheel size but just be aware it may cause issues.

Bear in mind the change in BB height - so you want a bike which is already on the low side or can be run with more sag at the back and/or more fork sag or and/or a shorter fork, without the change in the kinematics messing up the suspension action or geometry. If you're going to put smaller volume tyres on then I can't see any benefit at all!
