Recently sold a superstar hub to a chap off here. Genuinely thought it was 142 but apparently its 150. I'm happy to refund, he only paid 13 quid posted, but if he wants to keep it I'm happy to buy a converter as long as it's no more than what he paid for it.. Makes more sense than binning it and refunding. I have no need for it to be sent back.

Superstar sell 142 adapters for 13 quid.. Would this work or is the hub fundamentaly too wide? If the buyer reads this, and prefers a refund then that's equally fine as its my mistake.

Depends on the hub.

Email Superstar - they're usually pretty quick in getting back.

I do not know the superstar hubs specifically, but all other Manu's hubs are different wrt 135/142 vs 150 and a 150 can Def not be converted to a 142 as the hub shells are wider, so I would be surprised if SS are not the same.

I suspect it's a no no because of the wider hub shell would put the disc too far outboard

What they said, a 142 hub is a 135mm hub with end caps. A 150mm hub is for a downhill bike and the actual hub is wider.
