Hi, is it possible to convert a 27.5 fork to a 29er?
I've a set of perfectly functioning Revelations 140mm which no one seems to want to buy, and a 29er HT frame to build up. Can I swap the lowers and make them 29ers?
Cheers
Depending on tyre clearance you might squeeze a 29er wheel in there?
I tried fitting a 29 inch wheel in a 27.5 Pike with 2.3 tire and it didn't fit. Needed about another 10mm of clearance.
Parts diagrams will be your friend.
if the csu is common to both the 29 and 27.5 you may be able to buy a set of lowers and use them to replace the 27.5 ones.
My reba’s have an extended lower casting that suggests the internals are the same as other forks and the increase for wheel size is in the dropout casting.
i would say I think you’ll be making a loss though if you’re looking to do the above. Lowers probably will be more than a complete set of 29 er SH forks.
Where have you tried to sell them?

They're on here! On One 45650b full bike or split.
(And FB marketplace etc)
It suprised me just how much the bottom had dropped out of the 27.5 market when I was shifting some gear recently.
Might be worth giving tftuned a bell and see if it is something they can do... would at least answer the 'is it possible' question.

Me too. Its been advertised ages, not really a sniff.
Emailed TFTuned, can't be converted apparently, something to do with "The offset is in the crown + bushing overlap."

Probably cheaper to buy some used 29er forks and take the lowers off those than to buy new lowers. Then you could use the lowers from the 27.5 forks to rebuild the 29er forks and sell them to recoup some of your money. Oh... now I see the flaw in my plan.
