Is it as simple as just replacing the lowers with a set from 27.5'' model?

Forks are 2014 Talas models if it makes any difference.

Cheers!

I've been thinking about this recently as I have some very nice 26" Fox 36 Floats, especially as people are playing about with smaller offsets.

If I've already reduced the travel using clip on shaft spacers (they're 2006 forks) to limit how far the fork extends,  what's to stop me from using the same spacers in a different location to limit how far the fork compresses? If I stop it compressing the last half inch of travel, isn't it now a 650b fork?

That’s changing the travel though, not the axle to brake arch distance.

I’ve asked this question previously. Apparently it can be done, however the fork offset will not be the same as a 27.5” fork.  Basically the 27.5 and 26 uppers are not the same offset.

But there seems to be a trend for reducing fork offset anyway.
