Hi there. I've just plugged my Contour HD1080p headcam (not the GPS one) into my computer for the first time, and I seem to be having a problem loading the software. It gets to the screen which says "download easy edit software", but when I click on it, it comes up with the message "google chrome could not connect to vholdr.com". I've also tried it on our laptop which just has normal google installed and the same thing happened. Also, when the camera is first plugged in, a red light comes on, on the back, which I presume is the charging light. This then stays on for a few seconds and then goes out. Surely it's supposed to go green or something, meaning it's fully charged? If anyone can help it'd be greatly appreciated as I'm going to Wales in three weeks and was hoping to take it with me. The light just goes off on mine when it's fully charged.
By the way, I recommend using the software to set the camera to 720p @ 60 fps, running it at 1080p gives a horrible rolling shutter effect which looks dire when you go over anything even slightly bumpy. Plug the camera in, wait a minute, start up Easy Edit, go to Tools -> Configure Camera, set the 'Hi' switch to 'Action HD', job done.
Sounds like your battery is fully charged. Mine usually red while charging then goes out once charged.
I installed the easy edit software at first but don't bother with it now - just use a micro sd to USB adaptor or card reader and run clips via media player classic, edit with premiere etc.
Agree with mint imperial. 60fps at 720 is best.

Not got one but hopefully getting a Drift DH soon...the frame rates and film settings...why is 720 better than 1080? And why is 60fps better than 25fps?
