I ended up with a pair (intended to get protection version, but when these arrived in error decided to go with it) - they are really really light. Feel fast in rolling, not that that matters much off-road. On balance I think I'll go back to my favourite Specialized Adrenaline 2.2 (fantastic tyres), but they are pretty good all-rounders with very low weight and spritely feel.

I use the UST Protection version on the back. Great tyre especially in the local Mid Wales conditions. A great tyre to use all year round aswell.

I have a folding 2.4 Protection (none UST) for sale if you're interested.

I've got a set of 2.2s for dry weather, somewhere... I don't trust them as much as my nevegals, they feel a bit insubstantial and sometimes a bit squirrelly on stuff that the nevegals just grip on, but they're good tyres. The lighter weight and lower drag gives a very noticable bit of extra zip too.

Seconded.

However, if you're more than 12 st and like to ride rocky trails fairly hard - you'd better get used to changing tubes a lot.

They are good tyres - supersonic's are very light for the size and roll fast. Can be fragile in rough and rocky places though. Watch for pinch punctures, and that your rims are wide enough to stop them folding over.

Sound a little negative - but i love mine.
