Hey, anyone tried these as in the title. They are cheap as cheap and i need something that is better that my kenda nevergrips this time a year. Wire bead. Are they a slug of a tire?

Ran them since september. Worked great and barely noticed the extra drag over continental mountain kings except on long climbs. The grip was superb in thick mud and greasy rocks. Well impressed

apparently they come in at just under 1kg. is that alot for a tire that will be used for 75% xc?

run these on the front, with mountain kings on the rear. super grippy, and seriously cheap, definitely worth it for a winter/wet condition tire at a very reasonable price.

I've got the black chilli in 2.35. They weigh about 780g. Not especially fast rolling but grippy and predictable in all but the sloppiest of conditions.
