Was finishing my ride last night when the back end felt weird on a few corners, looked down ata the back wheel and there was a definite wobble. 'damn, popped a spoke', but wasn't convinced as the feel was like the tyre was rolling on the rim. Got home, wheel is fine but the tyre seems to have worn through on the side wall round the rim. I know conti side walls have a rep, is this the sort of thing usually happens, or something else, warranty job? (3.5 months old, 500miles riding max).
Not had a tyre fail before so this is new territory for me.

I had two Conti tyres explosively blow at the bead before. Both MK version 1s from memory. Scared me witless both times!
Just junk it and buy some Schwalbes 😉
I'm really disappointed I grew to love the tyre (after a doubtful start), previously had MK supersonics on the XC bike, and loved those too, but if this happens all the time won't get them again. I have a race king on the XC now as well, and that's still fine... #throws cat over shoulder and touches some salt#
