Probably a daft question but how do you know a 2.2 Rubber Queen is Black Chili? Should it say so on the tyre?

Doesn't say "black chili" on the tyre. It might say on the pacakaging or there might be an additional hang tag.

Otherwise, I think it might be if they say "handmade in germany" on the sidewall.

This is what Conti told me for the 2.4s anyway.

What they can't print it on the sidewall, I have no idea.

I believe made in Germany and it's Black Chilli, made in China and it's not.

If it's a 2.2 UST then it won't be Black Chili as the buggers don't make them 😥

Lick it, and if it stings...

Only kidding. I think they have a small logo on them, someone will be able to say. Alternatively the Conti website lists which ones have BC.

I believe made in Germany and it's Black Chilli, made in China and it's not.

That's my understanding too.

Black Chili is only made at our factory in Korbach, Germany. No other tyre facility in the world has access to its secrets.

Which sort of backs that up (though it doesn't say that they don't make non-black chili in Germany).

Ah, thanks folks. I does say "handmade in Germany" on it, and it's not a UST, so looks like it is Black Chilli.
