Just fitted a 2.3 Baron black chilli non Ust tubeless, what pressures are you using? Ran 27 ish on my local loop.Ogden,Calderdale felt very floaty over rocks not as composed as my black chilli Rubber Queen Ust. Big difference tread wise, obviously but feels kinda nervous where as the RQ felt secure, planted and safe over the same section.Swapped due to a puncture. Too be fair looking looking for the unobtainable methinks.Very good reviews for the Baron so I thought it was worth punt.Thought What do you think?
25 or thereabouts in mine, run tubeless though. It's a smaller tyre (assuming you had a 2.4?) so it'll never have the same lovely squelchy feel to be fair but I've not had that issue.
Im tubeless which plays a factor, i think im normally about 26-28.
Northwind, running tubeless on Stans Crest. Rq was 2.2 so the Baron I think is a little smaller. Seems to ping off rocks whereas the Rq was very stable. Persevere or repair the Rq?
Wow, ran them tonight on a local loop. Very wet and muddy with the pressure dropped to 25 psi. Totally different feel to our rocky ride on Saturday, wet greasy through the woods .Would consider a rear as well but think it might be draggy on the climbs. Going to repair the Rq for a ride in Gunnerside at the weekend. Loose and flinty think the Rq will be perfect for that 😀 Thanks for your help guys 😆
