At this years Mountain Mayhem they are offering 10S8 10spd chains for £10. Apparently SRP is £34.99

Are they worth a punt at this price? ie are they as good as the KMC X10 or XL10's I would normally get.

As good as any KMCs I've had, and they come with the absolute best quick-links.

Yes they are awesome. My last one refused to die even after 6 years of use. It was stretched a lot but never skipped a beat. Underrated and as said above the connex connector is easily the best of it's kind.

Actually, yeah. In my earlier post when I said

I meant whilst riding/shifting. The Connex quick link is, as pointed out above, far easier to use than the Sram ones I use elsewhere.

great wear wise here, connex link is great. Been using them for a few years now and not had one snap(had others do so)

best chains - last ages and have the best design of quick link (once you realize they only go up one way)
