So finally my Avid elixir R brakes have died/been killed by Devon and Dartmoor dirt. I really would prefer to put XT on to the bike but do not really want to change shifters/rear mech. They are on the old matchmaker (circa 2009). Has anyone any ideas/solutions to get the shifter attached to the new XT (785). Or is it a case of getting a new mount for the shifters and putting up with lots of stuff on the bars! If so anyone seen a basic shifter mount for X9 ? Or even worse buying another set of elixirs so I can keep the shifters!
