Hi,

I am one of the freaks who likes Dual Control brakes.

I was thinking of trying to connect up a spare set of dual control levers, similar to these :Dual Control LX Brakes

to some of these:

The original lever set cost something like £15 for the pair and I have dual control on my other bike. These are for a 5 inch full suss.

What bits do I need to connect the two together? Would Goodridge hoses be best, or should I try and use the Shimano ones:

No idea if they are standard. All seems to be a tad complicated for me.

gribble,

The levers and callipers are compatible without any issues.

You need the hose with straight connectors both ends...your 3rd link is to a hose with 1 banjo and 1 straight (some old XT/XTR models) connectors and will not work.

This is the correct hose:

I prefer real Shimano tango orange brake fluid, but you can use cheapo LHM fluid at a push, although it may thicken with unpleasant results in very cold weather.
