Hello,
Off up to the lakes next week hopefully and staying around coniston family camping.

I've not done any high mountain stuff this year so would like to do some of that. I will be getting up super super early to avoid the crowds and so that I can incorporate the best cheek.
Found this thread thread.

Looks like OMC is good down but that is super mega cheek so not sure how I feel about it. Wetherlam sounds 'OK'. Any other options in the area?

Also, another option is to head into Grizedale
Seems like some of the off piste that goes down towards the shores of coniston is still open after the forestry work. However on trailforks it's marked orange as proline stuff.
I'll be on my own so avoiding anything risky/silly. What's the consensus on that stuff?

I wasn't so convinced due to the top bit. I found it a tad too hard. Bieber did it a few weeks after and said it was great, but he's a shit load betterer than me so...
I think I was also cautious due to the ramblers about.

Most of the Coniston side of Grizedale trails are sadly gone, but you can still ride the top part of Viking - and Cheeky V is running again now. Both great.

You could head down to Satterthwaite via the three witches, then ride the tracks across the road there and at Bogle Crag.
