Hey anybody got info on the riding conditions at the forest of Dean. Is it rideable or mud fest?

There's a video on pinkbike from the weekend Mini DH race. Looks pretty good to me..

Verdners is pretty much a type1 footpath and pretty weather proof. Can't comment on freeminers but that's usually a bit more natural and susceptible to weather.

The top of some of the dh runs were very wet when I went a couple of weeks ago, rest rode well.

Haven't been up for a few days, Verds is as mentioned above basically a cycle foot path now so running really well. Freeminers is/was very sloppy especially on the new extensions where in places it was virtually unrideable. That said I'm up there tonight for a night ride so can report back if you like?

I rode there on Sunday. Did Verds, brilliant. Freeminers, fine. A few puddles and a tiny bit of mud, but nothing to worry about.

I also did Dowies, which surprised me. Quite ridable, a few squidgy bits but not a slop fest at all.

I did it at the end of the day thinking it would be a write off. Which was why we did the Blue and Red first. Pleasantly surprised.

Sure, there are moist corners and squidgy patches, but its not a churning mess.

Rode the first half of verderers last night then swapped onto the old enduro trail. As above verds was fine, off piste was ok. Bottom of elephant man track back to PABA was a muddy mess though.

moral of the story, on piste fine, off piste sloshy.

also saw 10 piglets and 3 adults on the first section of verderers which was nice
