What's it like at the moment? Any of the main trails closed for floods, birds, etc?

Rideable, but sh*t, judging by today. Though depends if you stick to the cobbles or not. Some cobble stuff is not too bad, some is terrible (diversion on Seagull for example is horrid). Fireroad links are sloppy as hell. Off piste is (as always) better but boggy in parts.

Fair amount of work going on and diversions.

Crowthorne is much better, but still sloppy in many places.

Also boody army were playing at soldiers over Car Crash / Saddleback so couldn't get onto the recent Gorrick course round there, which would hopefully have been reasonable condition.

Still, in the morning it was reasonably snowy, but that's all melted and slushed the place up now.

Been riding all through winter in all weather, Surrey Hills and Tunnel Hill mostly, and never had such an amount of slop and mud coating everything this winter. Destroyed brake pads that have been going fine for 6 months and still had a few more rides at least in them when I checked before I set off.

Heaven forbid the army should be doing some training, don't they know grown men have bicycles to ride!?

Can't imagine it being anything other than being annoying, grinding, slow filth.

As above, some sections of cobbles will be ok, fireroads and anything not cobble will pastey, slow filth. Off piste will be ok though.

Think I saw on FB that red 1 & 2 (Tanktraps) are closed for forestry work.

You do know 'diversion on Seagull' is now Seagull III. That bit that has been felled for the pipeline is gone for good, afaik.

You can still get the lasagne with baked potato on the side though, genius.
