I have been before with my kids, but only the blue and wee sections of red, however a group of us spent the morning there yesterday, with 3 or 4 laps, a couple of red, one red/black, one red/blue.

Tired and battered this morning, but what a great place to ride - pretty technical as reds go I reckon, but all superb fun and very flowy. Decent coffee too, though a 20 min queue at the food window at 1030 am not the best...

Black from decision rock all the way back down to the cafe is good

Comrie is ace - and had steadily improved for years.

It's ace isn't it. It doesn't look much on a map but there's so much stuff, normal trail centres tend to have loads of nothing where you're basically commuting from corner to corner or feature to feature.

They have been building a couple of more trails there recently

Yes, it all seems to just fit together and despite riding most sections 3 or more times there was no boredom in it at all.

Done the blue and the red down from the rock.
Definitely a place with a whole different character.
Enjoyed it and definitely need to go back, but when the chance arises either its wet (think the red would be a bit hard for my mincing in the wet) or i just can't face the drive and ride from home instead.

yeah, we had it dry and dusty, I imagine it would be rather different in the wet !

We went just after the DHWC and I'll be honest, we didn't rate the reds or blacks at all, didn't seem to offer much, only the bottom section of the black was good... Everyone is different an all.

the blues however were amazing fun after a couple of runs on the blues, did all the reds, and then the blacks, and spent the rest of the day lapping blues.

would go back as a stop on the way to somewhere else further north (or back from).

I have met a few folk recently who didn't rate the reds - but it turned out that they had not followed the sign-age and not actually done the upper red from decision rock...

What's not to like? It isn't huge, but that is not the point.

Climbing up this at least year's Cream O' The Croft Enduro was great fun. Not.

That off-camber boardwalk looks like it would be interesting in the wet.

I does have non-slip on. Despite appearances, it is pretty much cambered correctly, if you hit it at speed.
In the snow it gets a bit squirrelly from experience...

I love it, may be my favourite trail centre. Often camp and make a weekend of it but its just about doable as a day trip.

Do you not live in Edinburgh?.

Comrie is a great wee place, I don't go nearly often enough tbh. It's also probably the most progressive of places too, every time I go it's improved in some way.

I'm in Midlothian, its about a 90 min drive each way, so if I'm going I want to make a day of it. Mostly I have the kids so 3 hours plus riding is a stretch with the youngest.

Comrie is a great place. I don't go often enough. In my head I think its further away than it actually is! Its actually nearer to most of Glasgow than Glentress.

Its even got a write up in the Guardian

It is splendid, highly recommended.
The red trails are indeed good too.

I've been twice now and every time I leave I want to go back.

Last time was last week, it really doesn't suit not being fit IMO. Managed the black climb -> enduro trails -> red at Glentress the week before but CC climb twice nearly finished me! There is so much going on I found it difficult to get into an easy climbing rhythm. First lap of the red was awful, didn't ride well at all. Second it clicked and was amazing.

Superb place, can't wait to go back a bit fitter.
