Got myself a compressor, which came with a blow gun, which to be fair is a bit shit. It has a sprung clip schreader and I picked up a cheap brass adaptor (which is actually brilliant) BUT it can't be used with the valve core removed and it's not great overall. Doesn't naturally line up, and for some reason the inflator gun doesn't actually read the tyre pressure.
What are you guys using on your compressors? Has anyone got a good solution? The park inflators aren't getting great reviews.
Prestaflator? The gauge goes too high really.
I have considered grafting a track pump head on, but I don't know what's good. My Joe Blow one is dreadful!

buy a cheap track pump and bodge its head unit onto your compressor line

I only use my compressor to seat a tyre, then a "proper" pump to sort pressures out

Edit - not sure if you added that last sentence or I just didn't read that far

... pretty much any track pump head that fits even "adequately" should work OK as the air volume is large. MIne's an airace one that I got on an amazon special deal a while ago

Likewise I only use the compressor to seat the tyre - the cheapo pressure guage is rubbish. I had an adapter that came with some Mavic valves that screws onto presta to give schraeder fit - it screws on with the core removed or installed. Unfortunately I lent the compressor and that bit went missing so I just put a few wraps of insulating tape on now. Works fine.

Trouble is, the gauge on my track pump is not entirely believable. It reads 1 bar with nothing connected. Might grab one of these;

Doesn't really matter what your pump says.

Inflate to what you think works best and not ewhat the pump thinks that pressure is - doesn't matter if it's really 25psi but your pump says 30, as long as you use the same pump every time it should be reproducible

I just bought a new hose with a thread to attach to the blow gun and stuck one of these on the other end Pump head works fine

Kind of not, but it's a good sanity check. I have been ignoring the gauge since it decided to chill out, and inflating according to the pinch test.

I just got a cheap car inflator (about £6), a double headed track pump hose/head (lying around in the shed), and a 1/4" hose tail adaptor. Just unscrew the existing hose, screw on the hose tails and attached the new hose with a jubilee clip. Mine is ace, does any sort of valve and even has a bleed button.

Machine mart is your friend.

I just use a bit of old trackpump hose pushed onto the end of the blowgun then push the other end onto the valve with the core removed.

I have a cheap inflator with a Topeak dual head stuck on the end. The gauge isn't very useful tbh, I keep thinking I might add a proper one in the chain but apparently it doesn't bug me enough to do anything about it.

I just use a bit of hose over the blow gun onto the presta. Gives enough of a shot to seat the tyre, no need for a proper hose head.

I've used a petrol station compressor with my valve cores in place and a presta adapter in the past for stubborn tyres with 100% success.
