Hi, doing a couple of long distance endura events including the uk24 in a few weeks and wondered what people's experince was of compression tights or shorts underneath padded shorts?
Does this cause any extra friction, is it a comfortable setup? I've got some dhb tights but they have become loose over time and I just use them for running now, was looking at some of the max gear stuff which seems very good value for the tights, any experiences?
I guess the answer would be to buy the compression tights with in built pad but they are uber expensive?
cheers
Matt
Probably get a lot chaffing trying them that way. I sometimes wear them over lycra. You're right though - the ones (Skins) with built in pad are pricey, but no more so than Assos etc.
Would it not be really difficult to pull them over lyrca, particularly something with a thicker pad? Probably a good market for someone to do a sensibly priced compression tight with pad like dhb or max gear?
Yep, when I've done it it's been over thinnish shorts with a thin pad.
Probably not ideal for the 24hr race then when more padding the better!
I've tried them to stop cramp, didn't work plus lack of grip on skin made my padded shorts slip down.
Wear mine under shorts and don't get any rubbing issues. They are 2XU versions.
