Hi
I remember seeing an ad about two years back in a cycling magazine from a British company that, daft as it sounds dealt in these get around town bikes aimed at mountainbikers. The bikes were like rigid trail bikes with mtb geom , slick tyres, 1x setups and wide bars etc , any chance that anyone knows them ? Cant find them anywhere on google
Cotic Roadrat could be what you're thinking of.
not the ad. you're after, but pinnacle, evans' own brand make some great everyday bikes for mountainbikers, at great prices, tho i'd prefer a roadrat too: )
Cannondale Trail 29er. Rigid with EBB for singlespeed if you want.
I'm running 1x11 as I have another SS. I change the tyres depending on what I'm doing in a given month.
There was a video ad for the Orange Speedwork around for a while. Nice looking bike that.
Just buy an old MTB, swap on some fat slicks and wide bars and go for it.
Whyte?
late 90s rigid?
Zero Cool + 1
I went for 1993 Kona Hahana with 2.35” Big Apples.
Bike £50 plus £50 for the tyres
Town-tastic.
Whyte?
Good point. My Whyte Shoreditch sort of matched the description.
