i kow a lot of people on here (including me) just commute with their off roading lights, but my brother is after a front and rear set for christmas as he wants to start commuting by bike again and he needs new lights.
So...
reccomendations for reasonably (well under £30 each) priced front + rear lights please. Was thinking of getting him 2 for the back and maybe 2 for the front depending on cost so he can have one flashing and one constant.
cheers

I use two of these on the rear, one on constant and one flashing, very bright, the centre spot flasher can be seen from a considerable distance, this one also gives off a bit of light to the side.
btw, make sure it has the clear centre spot, as the less powerful version does not.

Front wise, Smart do a 5 led front light, you should be able to pick up two for £30, but might be worth budgeting a bit more for a decent front light.
These Smart sets aren't a bad price at the mo;

I second the recommendation for the Holy Hand Grenade
The Cateeye Holy Hand Grenade can be bought in a set with a decent front light too. recommended.

Same rear light as ski links to above, they're VERY bright and it's a decent enough front as well. Great value.
