Majority of my commute is twisty b-road, I always try to give a 'thank you' wave when drivers give me plenty of space. Got a 'you're welcome' blink of hazards from one car this morning, just a small gesture but made me feel all fuzzy and warm.

Any other postive interactions with our motorised cousins to balance out the nastiness we hear about far too often?

The thumbs up from a bus driver when you let him out...

...the raised index finger from an overtaking motorcyclist when you pull in a bit to ease his passing (in the car).

Got a toot and a wave of thanks from a guy this morning after I warned him there was a car coming towards him (blind crest - he couldn't see it, but I could). Yes, he was stupidly going to try and overtake me there, but he heeded the warning and held back.

At least I think he was thanking me 🙂

There's a lorry I see quite often, obviously someone on a regular run - quite a distinctive truck. He always gives a massive berth when overtaking and I've waved him through or flashed my headtorch sometimes in the past to indicate when I'm pulling in to let him past or when he's clear and he always gives a flash of the orange safety beacons on the back of the truck.

Makes up for the idiots who comes past 3" from the bars...

I think travelling at the same times (most days) helps.
The regulars ( that I recognise ) drive like they expect to see me there.
They always give lots of room ,and use the best places to pass.

Regularly I get this. Yesterday evening turning from the bridges onto chamber street. Chamber street is lined with parked cars and also centre of the raod parking so I am occupying the full lane holding a car behind me. At a point where there is plenty of room for the car to pass I pull to the side, stop peddling and wave the car thru ( its uphill). Got a thumbs up.

Most days I will get this from someone often a bus

Soneone drives past me most mornings on the moor, always give me a toot of their horn, friendly style, they've been doing it for a couple of years and I have absolutely no idea who they are.

Love it when I get a smile from some of the lovely ladies that drive past as I'm at the front of a traffic light junction.

Gary, is Barry White playing in the background at these junctions?
