You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Currently ride a Giant XTC 29er with some very shallow tread 2.0 tyres for a mix of bridleways, canal paths, cycle lanes & the odd bit of tarmac but I'm now looking to add longer stints of tarmac in & maybe something a little more suited seems something to consider as I also feel id benefit from a slightly larger bike.
Ive previously had a CX & Roadbike & don't wish to go back to that geometry, nor ride with drops, wide bars a must, flats also a must & i like the mtb wider Q factor also.
Comfort something Im keen on & place above speed.
All that considered I land at a couple of bikes...

Does anyone have any experience of these?
Any other bikes in a similar mold?
Any recommendations?
All thoughts, opinions, experiences welcome?
Cheers Tim
I have a Surly Troll, both those options look great though! A steel frame should, in theory, last longer..
I have one of these if more relaxed geometry would work for you - so very cheap: http://www.bikes2udirect.com/B5300.html
