You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
So I found what I believe to be a small crack on the NDS chainstay this morning.
Any suggestions for replacement? It needs to take mudguards and a rack and PM or IS discs (unless there are adaptors from flat mount to PM?).
Happy enough to keep the forks I have, they're carbon so should be fine for fatigue, but at the same time a matching set would be nice.
Alternatively any absolute bargains on full bikes that'd take rack and mudguards and a reasonably big tyre (currently 35c marathon supremes, might go to 28c GP4000s but they're both actually fairly similar size)?
I've seen Rbble have something that'd fit the bill for £300, and PX have something that would be £350 or so (including forks). PX don't have London Road in stock, which is annoying as at £150 I'd risk having to use a shim for dodgy seat post reaming.
There are a few sub-100€ trekking frames on bike-discount (DE).
Interested in second-hand? I have a 2012 Saracen Urban Studio74 frame I would willing to sell you.
Possibly SaxonRider, depends on sizing etc - I'd have to check geo carefully as I'm running drop bars. Do you have the forks too? What's the tyre clearance like?
Those bikediscount frames look good too!
I'd probably prefer a new frame as the miles I cover will give it a limited life.
I'll have to dig it out and check in order to answer your questions. In the meantime, you can see the original details here (I'm sorry, it's a 2011; NOT a 2012).

What I am selling is the frame.
If you are open to a flat bar bike, the EOL Boardman Hybrid Pro is a cracking buy ( 😉 ) for £750 before British Cycling discount.

~9Kg, same weight as my carbon frame disc road bike. Stick some reflective stickers around the frame, you then have a great commuter.
