Had a google but nothing recent came up. So things getting a bit too close for comfort today with the close passes I have reported it to the bus company and they said they would look into it and get back to me .

So what's good easy to use and sensible price wise ? I have a old gopro but its a bit of a faff to mount setup ,take off etc etc. Also where to mount ,helmet or  bike and what about the ones that are a light as well ??

Thanks in advance

I have a Chilli tech bullet cam, it does the job most of the time, not so good in low light but it has produced good enough footage when needed.

I used to use one of those little Polaroid Cube cameras. It can be set to auto-overwrite so only ever came off the bike if I wanted to download the footage, like when a dog bit me on a towpath one time!

Not sure about the sensible price, but a mate uses Cycliq cameras front and back, and has very good relationship with the video upload people in Derbyshire and Leicestershire police forces. His videos do seem to be better quality and he seems to get fewer rejections from the Police, possibly as a result maybe?

I've been using Cycliq front and rear since pre covid. I don't report much, but the footage certainly came in handy when I was hit by a van a year or so ago.

I’d like to say Cycliq Fly12. But my Mk1 is a heavy brick that no longer functions as anything other than a paperweight. I’d now choose a light GoPro and a tiny Exposure Boost as a front light instead. The Mk3 Fly6 on the back is still fine, but the battery life is poor for anything other than commuting (which is why it lives on my commuting bikes).
My Fly6 exonerated my cycling club at an inquest. So it served its purpose.

VuPoint Share Q Mini is my current, not sure if they're available anywhere now. I've had a ton of different ones and the mounting and easy removal makes it one of the best. Though not being able to change the date on it is a bit crap (Even though it doesn't show on the footage)
However, when I used one of the cheapo ebay bullet cams, it was no worse tbh. I'd go back to one of those when this one runs out of decent battery life. This sort of thing
It's not something I'd pay Cycliq type money for as the number of times the footage is actually needed is extremely rare. Well, unless you're making a ****ty youtube channel of near misses! lolZ

Ive got a Chilli tech cam, size, ease of use and battey life are all great, what lets it down is the quality, its ok at capturing number plates in daylight (although ive had a few times it struggled to do that)

Its absolutley useless in bad weather, low light or at night, in the daytime it wont produce images clear enough to capture someone on thier phone whilst cutting across your path

I used to run a GoPro 8, polar opposite of the Chilli tech cam, It was bulky and had to go on my helmet, never knew if you had accidently pressed or touched something whilst pressing the record button so you may have changed the settings, battery only lasted one day's commute but recording quality was excellent day and night, bad weather didnt affect it also

I have a Tooo rear camera light and the footage is way better than my old Cycliq. Both my Cycliqs developed faults. I had an owl fly along in front of me one morning and thought that would make a nice video. Turns out my Cycliq hadn't been recording for a few weeks but as I'd had no previous reason to check footage I was unaware.
