[Closed] Commencal seat-stays: are they really too wide?

I read in a couple of reviews that on full-sus Commencal Meta TR 4.2 the seat-stays are very wide and cause an obstruction to pedalling? Is this true, or just pedantry on the reviewers part?

Any other comments on this bike welcome as its on the short-list of mid-travel trail bikes that are tempting me (along with T130 RS, Trans Smuggler or Scout).

I think it really depends on how you position your feet on the pedals, it was never an issue for me, even with my size eleven feet. Mine was the AM version.

I have a meta AM v4. I also saw those comments before I got it. It's not been an issue for me at all (size 10)
It's a cracking bike. 🙂

Thanks. Thought as much. I cycle heels slightly out so should not be a major issue.

Never rubbed mine. I like my feet straight, but never too close that I rub the cranks with my ankle. Size 9 FiveTens.

I also never found it an issue, I’m a size 10 straight foot rider
