i've got the dual position pikes on mine, can't fault them.
Anyone riding a large v4 anywhere in the east mids/south yorks/cannock that I could have a sit on? I'm 6' 1". Ta.
Mikezer.... Bit south for you but a friend had his large delivered a few hours ago. He is 6 foot and it looks right, he says it feels good too.
Medium- just had an initial post ride spin and taken off the 60mm stem and put the 55mm back on. Its a long medium compared to my old SC. Happy with that. As if I'd gone for sz large I'd be pissed at the 20" ST (taking into account dropper collar). 😀

Why? Unless you're some kind of odd shaped freak?
Personal preference. It aint a pair of shoes
Pissed = drunk
Pissed off = annoyed
Thread revival- how are people getting on with their V4?
Any reliability issues to mention?
Nothing for me. It's done 201 miles so far and other than adding 2 bottomless tokens to the Pikes and swapping the saddle for a Spoon, I've done nothing other than oil the chain and occasionally wash it.
Awesome bike. The front grip and corner speed is a step up on my old Stumpy EVO, but probably due to Pikes more than anything.
Im having some magic worked on my Fox 34's as the rear (shock) is less linear than the fork which is divetastic.
The BOS shock is the opposite of the Kashima Fox that I had previously. Very good- it shows up a poor fork.
Done about 500 miles on mine, only had to nip up one shock bolt and got a creaky bb. Other than that spot on.
Any updates from your V4 Commencals? How's the ride? and the reliability?
The ride is excellent, but I haven't ridden it enough to comment on reliability.
frame bearings didn't last 12 months, poor quality and wrong type, other than that great.
According to strava I've done 1,029 miles on my v4, and it's still running sweet! As yet no issues with bearings or bushings.
I will probably give the shock a service in the next couple of weeks, as I'm off the bike injured at the moment, but that will be the first time I've had to touch it.
The best way I can describe the ride, is, fast over everything! It's quicker down the kentmere side of garburn pass than my dh bike! ( if your not familiar with garburn, it's a three and a half minute rock garden.)
Nice!
I've put down my order today. Can't wait.
Nice one penster, you'll not regret buying one.
Hopefully you'll have no problems with your order, as the after sales service ain't the best!
I had months of issues with them over a reverb they sent me that was the wrong size.
But it's still worth the hassle, as the frame is excellent.
Guys stop buying them. Your spoiling it's niche status 8)
How is everyone getting on with them? Got my eye on a V4. Any reason not to other than Britex related ****witery?
Still happy with mine, although slightly more reach would be nice.
