Need a new pair of shorts.
Will be spending around 8 hours on the bike, occasionally on consecutive days, so looking for comfort.
Current shorts are altura baggies, but I've worn the arse out of them and the padded liner is trashed.
What's good?

For that long in the saddle you want Lycra, more comfort, less chafing, generally better. Look at the expensive, 700 series stuff in Decathlon as a start point for good value and even better comfort.

i suspect these are going to be the comfiest shorts I have ever worn. Not tried them yet tho !
