You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Hello fellow bikers!
This summer me and three friends sat out on our biggest adventure so far. The Colorado Trail from Denver to Durango. If anyone is up for an 11 day bikepacking tour in wild nature and high mountains, I seriously recomened you try out this amazing singeltrack trail!
We made a 15 minute movie to tempt your inner mountainbiker!
The film is in norwegian tho, but has subs. Enjoy 🙂

Good to see you guys having a most excellent adventure, looks like perfection, really enjoyed the GR5 vid a while back, very much inspiration for some home grown adventures.
Thank you! This was, belivet or not, a much tougher trip to do than the GR5. Mostly because of the altitude (that we aren't used to) and because you could pretty much bike the whole trail. (with some exceptions obviously) 🙂
Really surprised by the lack of comments, this trail and environs has everything, would really like to do this.
Im jealous that looked amazing.
am i the only one who's searched for london-denver flights and I haven't even watched it all the way through yet.
looks amazing, ENVY!!!!
Nice video. I rode the Colorado Trail Race a few years ago. Really amazing riding and scenery. I must go back and ride it at a more sedate pace.
Wow, that looked epic! 🙂
There is a great video of the CTR [url=
Looks good. Quite a European look to the place. A bit Welsh/Scottish in places.

Expensive for direct ones. BA generally and they can be twice the price of other flights for that route now. Used to be relatively cheap.
What's got my interest though is Delta are now doing direct flights to Salt Lake City.
Stunning. Thanks for taking the trouble to somehow stop riding towards those views and take video.
Wearing those sacs all day must have niggled a bit.
Now that put a smile on this broken rider's face.....tremendous
great vid. thanks.
I'm flying London-Denver in a few weeks with BA, only about 500 quid, about as cheap as it's ever been. Hoping to do some biking, but it will be a bit late season for that sort of thing though. Enjoyed the vid and am tempted for a summer visit in future!
This would be my dream trip!
Very nice video and well done on the editing which must have taken as long as the ride itself, watching it makes me want to get out on the bike and explore somewhere new.

Times I've looked it was showing nearly £1k for cattle class! whereas Delta was £500ish (but not direct flight). That was a number of years ago now though, plus was ski season 😉
That was brilliant.
Thanks. Looks like an amazing adventure...
Fantastisk filmen! Tusen takk gutter! 8)
Thanks for that, that's on my bucket list now.
thanks for sharing... that was stunning! 🙂
That is fantastic and I'm smiling right now.
I'm also a little sad that I can't see a window in my life for me to do the same...
Excellent video there... will watch it again and again, & share amongst my riding friends... well done
Nice video, well done.
I rode the Monarch Crest trail, which I think is part of the CT, years ago, and I've always wanted to go back and ride it again. 35 miles of singletrack...
Holy ferk...that looks amazing.
I worked a ski season in Crested Butte in 99/00 and that vid makes me want ti go back in the summer to bike.
Superb, thanks for sharing.
OMG...Norwegian Arms!!
Spent a great week with you guys at Trail Addiction a few years back!! Great vid, glad to see you're all still riding.
Looks incredible, good work! I notice you've all got a penchant for Mavic shoes too...
Cracking video! That looks like a proper adventure 🙂
Boring logistical question- once in Durango, how did you go about getting back to Denver?
The US isn't exactly known for easy rail links, so I imagine it's a bit of a pain to get all the way back up there!
cracking trip gents...well done
Wow, thanks guys for all the comments!
It was definitely some of the best trails I have ever ridden, and it just kept on going, for miles and miles. And yes- at times those backpacks where heavy as s***t but it was so worth it, and you forget the backpack so easely when those lovely flowy downhill segments starts.
All film creds to Jonas, we all wanted to document the trip but he is the one stopping in some of the segments and "forcing" some takes 😉
We ended up renting a car and drove back to Denver. Believe it or not, but it was also quite nice. Loud music pumping throu the speakers as we smiled proudly on our way back home 🙂
People have mentioned the GR5 here as well- we did that a few years back.
Thought I could link to that as well here for those of you who are interested 🙂 [url=
Great video -looked epic! 😀
Thanks! 😀
That's a great video, really captures the enjoyment of riding the open trails with buddies.
The trail looks awesome.
Tanks! it was- put it on your 'to do list' for 2017 😉
Saw the bikepacking.com post on (now) last years CTR and that fired my imagination so looking forwards to watching your video. Kinda bookmarking for later on 😀
I've ridden in CO before, and contemplated walking the CT before now.
Too unfit for '17 but definitely going on my 'options for 2018' list!
That was ace! Enjoyed it. Pity I couldn't understand a word, need to get one of my nieces to translate 😀
I rode it in 1992.
Istr there was a lot of double tracks and also tarmac past the wilderness sections.
The route (& stats) is on bikepacking.com (linked form the CTR video page). Has it down as 80% unpacked and 55% single track, doesn't seem too shabby.
I've ordered the book anyways, a bit of bikepacking pron kicking about wont do any harm... 😉
@c/al: I note that from the finish sheet from a 90s SCUMB championship we seemed to have raced together (Pitlochry)... It's a small world.
That is indeed a small world
