Anyone done it? I’ve just entered, only event anywhere near me this year that I’m not working on the day.
Hopefully it’s a decent event.

It’s a great day out. Not tech at all but a pleasant enough ride. I won’t be riding it but may marshal...

Did the shorter route last year and enjoyed it. Not sure about this year yet

I've done it a couple of times - really good event and gets a good turnout, nice part of the world to mountain bike. It's a decent effort if you want to put your back into it - respectable amount of climbing.

Looking forward to next weekend, I busted my ankle a few weeks back so have hardly trained which isn't ideal.
How much would you get padded up for this?

It has some decent descents but nothing technical so no need for pads.

I’ll prob be marshalling so here’s hoping for decent weather!

Nice one, it's the climbs after very little training I'm worried about!

You'll be fine, just keep plodding. Nothing too technical, plenty ride on cx bikes. Keep an eye out for my kids waving as you pass my house on the climb up to Wessenden!

Ha ha! Will do. Really looking foraards to it, the pictures look stunning and it's always a great atmosphere at events like this.
Seen there's a 40% descent for a good distance on it too, should be fun on a hardtail!

In fact, I was expecting something in the post? Race number and Mao etc? Not had anything yet?

I can't remember what gets sent, but I thought I'd had a route map sent in previous years.

It's usually a good friendly bunch, can't make this years which is ashamed. I'm sure you'll be fine.

Nice one, was in my junk file. Got a download for the route to print. Any idea what I do about my number (48)?

There’s some tough climbs in it, it’s ok but no real exciting off road riding.

I’ll be cheering you guys on at the top of wessy (which is a nice 3.5 mile climb)I usually watch and cheer my mates on in this event as it’s local riding for me I can do it anytime I want, it is a good well organised event, Jonny who organises it does a cracking job, and always gets a good turn out. 👍
