Nah, buy a USE one, coke can ok for a cheap fix, but I wouldn’t use it on a dropper post.

just because of the price of it.

Stella can. 31.6mm seat tube, 30.9mm post. Works.

LOL......Brilliant!

Somebody needs to read:

"Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance."

There's a whole chapter dedicated to shims.

FWIW..... I have some shims for sale.  They come in a very fetching little box and have a cute little logo printed on them.  They are only £115.50 each.

I can supply any size you want, up to a maximum of 4.83"x2.13" ('bout the size of a Coke can actually!)

Drop me a line if you want one.

Ale can shim certainly works, ran one for years - depends on the bike, would look a bit silly to have a Stella can sticking out of a moots custom, but on a more rough and ready frame it could add to the charm.

Well at £6.99 for something the right size and no hassle why not....

In my humble opinion you'd be really daft not to use a Coke/ Stella/ Special Brew shim. Really cheap and easy to obtain, with a free gift of a drink. Easy to produce, no specialist tools  required, scissors will do the job. It's just a shim.

Some may disagree.

Some may disagree.

Not me.

If the cap (shim) fits, wear it.
