Is it ok/normal to have a bit of wear on the inside of the upper tube which houses the spring? The spring has a small rubber boot on it presumably to stop it rubbing on the inside of the tube, but the boot is not long enough to protect the whole tube. I can't see it causing a problem until it's removed enough material to a) weaken the upper tube or b) leave powdered aluminium floating about in there.
I guess the spring side of the fork is not particularly sensitive to a bit of wear, unlike the damper side or air forks?
Cheers!
