These are my first coil forks for years, am I right in thinking I ought to use the low speed compression adjustment to set the correct amount of sag (and that pre-load dials are a thing of the past)?

thanks

Hi, to set the sag you use preload spacers that you fit on top of the spring (if not uturn system)
This involves removing the top cap.
Set the sag first and the the damping (Compression and rebound)

sorry, u-turn system

Surprised to find that the forks came with a seal kit, but dont think there are any preload spacers with it

You either change the spring to suit you weight better or use the compression to compensate.
Medium is fine up to about 13.5 stone as an aproximate guide, this does vary a bit depending on bike setup (and consequent weight distribution), riding style e.t.c
