Anyone got any recommendations for places to stay near either of these please? Hoping for 4 of us at the moment but may be a few more. Not looking for a 5 star butler service

We have log cabins available just 2 miles up the road from Coed y Brenin at Trawsfynydd Holiday Village. You can cycle down the main road or take the National cycle route which takes quiet back roads and then the forestry roads of CYB. You can see the cabins available on our online booking pages http://www.logcabinswales.co.uk or call us 01766 540219 🙂

I can recommend trawsfynyddholidayvillage

Stayed there twice in 2 cabins each time with a group of us, ride to and from CyB on the Saturday then drive to Nant on the Sunday. The ride there is fun, the ride back less so.
The pub is close by and serves decent food and beer.

We have also stayed at Llys Ednowain hostel a bit further N. Excellent hostel

Have also stayed at Ivy house hotel in Dolgellau - average I'd say for a hotel but is priced accordingly (or was)

Preferred option is the log cabins - take stuff for breakfast. They are closed during Nov though which is a shame.

If you want to be central to both you could look at Machynlleth. Plus you have the added option of the Climachx then.

Cannot recommend anywhere sorry, there should be a few options though.
