I enjoyed it, uses some of the best descents on the trail centre. Dependent on your aims sensible choice of bike is advised. Rode last year on a 100mm specialized epic, but am going back this year on a 140mm trail bike ! Ok I know some of the real quick guys will ride carbon hardtails or 100mm race bikes and be quicker downhill and uphill than me, but for the average joe like yours truly, some of the technical descents were tough on a race bike

I really enjoyed it too, did the long route and once the crowd had thinned a little it was a great days riding. The route had a couple of long road/track climbs but were worth the effort. Some of the route was across private land and maybe even a few footpaths with you'd not get to ride otherwise. Enjoyed the trail center bits although it was a little crowded.

Sounds like just the job for a goal in September. 🙂

I thought you'd be better off just going to c-y-b, riding the red or black and not paying for the privilege. The off-piste stuff wasn't that great (with the exception of the long singletrack descent near the end with the massive drop off the side). But then, I had a bad day on the bike so I'm a bit biased.

Does anyone know how much it costs?

It's £25 including the finishers mug at the end. I signed up for it yesterday and will be doing for 60km route on my hardtail. I've not done it before but it looks like a laugh.

I didn't ride last year, but I'm in. 😀
Got no choice but to rigid SS it, so should be fun! 😯

Last time I raced the Dyfi enduro, third place was some guy on a rigid SS, only beaten by Nick Craig and another pro....
